'WORD MOJO' TO BE PUBLISHED ON MSN ZONE AND YAHOO GAMES

Word Mojo

Following hot on the highly successful heels of Cubis, Smilie have completed development of another online e-tail game commissioned and to be published by ongoing US client FreshGames.LLC. This original word puzzle game, developed concurrently in two platform versions, Java online and Win32 e-tail installable, is enticingly called 'Word Mojo'.

Smilie have taken the original 'back of an envelope' concept and, in co-operation with FreshGames, created a two part word puzzler, partly in the style of the classic board game Scrabble, but with tension filled gameplay, moving it into a completely new sphere of word gameplay. Players must create and add to intersecting words with the letters provided; is sounds straight forward. But, using intelligent strategy, placing them in bonus spots will make the difference between losing or progressing through the levels. All this is against the clock with the player having to keep their 'Mojo' topped up in order to progress. The neat and stylish '50s diner' look and feel sets Mojo distinctively apart from other games in the genre.

The two versions of Word Mojo took approximately four months to design, develop and complete, and will go live on MSN Zone, YahooGames and RealArcade in March 2003.

News Update: upon its initial release on MSN Zone, Word Mojo immediately became their most popular word game, with the number of players and games played surpassing the previous favourites WhatWord and TextTwist.

We, at Smilie, are very proud of the continuing, impressive record of success we are building, in association with FreshGames ,in the online etail games market.
